* According to ENR (Engineering News-Record, 2006).
Our joint venture with Semco began in 1993. It lasted the better part of a decade. We subsequently bought out their shareholding, which is the Semco partnership model. The environmental consultancy that we introduced to Brazil with Semco was a groundbreaking business. The firm is still there. Semco was pivotal to our breaking into that market. We enjoyed an excellent relationship with Semco and parted on the best of terms.
