“Semco Manutenção Volante” (SMV) / Semco Route Maintenance is a company that carries out preventive and corrective maintenance services for companies with branches, stores or premises in a variety of locations.

The company was founded in 2001 by the Semco Group, which saw a need to greater focus on the mobile maintenance markets, providing more efficient services for buildings infrastructure, bank branches, stores, service stations, telecom sites, shopping centers, industrial areas and other sectors, which needed a solution to manage a complex operation involving geographically diverse service points.

“Semco Manutenção Volante” (SMV) carries out the following preventive and corrective maintenance services: Air Conditioning, Electrical Infrastructure, Civil Infrastructure, No Brakes and Stabilizers, Fire Alarms Centers, Password Panels, Timers, Panels and Readers, Generators, Telecom Sites (caretaker, etc) as well as other outsourced services such as: Fire Extinguisher Recharging, Water Tank Cleaning, Refurbishment and Works, Equipment/Infrastructure Installation and Removal, Reports in General, Elevator and Escalator Maintenance, etc.

The company was one of the precursors in this type of operation and quickly consolidated its position as a market leader. At the start of 2007, SMV had over
500 employees, with bases in all major cities throughout the country serving over
5000 locations nationwide.

Following the five years of success after its creation, the Semco Group sold its stake in “SMV” to the Danish Group “ISS”, which is one of the largest services companies in the world and which has been seeking to increase its range of activities on the Brazilian market (facilities cleaning and industrial maintenance services).
